1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use govern access to IETA Campus. By using Campus, you agree to these terms, the applicable subscription or institution agreement and the Privacy Policy. If your institution provides your account, your access is also subject to its policies and instructions.
2. IETA accounts and Campus roles
A shared IETA account verifies identity. Each Campus institution separately controls its local roles, permissions and operational data. A successful central login does not guarantee access to a particular institution or role.
- Provide accurate account and recovery information.
- Keep devices, sessions and authentication channels secure.
- Do not share passwords, OTPs or another person’s account.
- Notify the institution or IETA promptly about suspected unauthorised access.
3. Institution responsibilities
The subscribing institution is responsible for deciding who receives access; configuring roles; keeping student, parent and staff relationships accurate; providing required notices; obtaining required permissions; and using Campus for lawful educational and administrative purposes.
The institution must remove or change access when a user’s role, employment, enrolment or authorised relationship ends.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Campus, attempt to access another institution’s records, bypass role controls, upload malicious code, disrupt the service, scrape protected data, impersonate another person, send unlawful communications or use student information for advertising or unrelated commercial activity.
We or the institution may restrict or suspend access reasonably believed to be unsafe, unlawful, unauthorised or harmful while the matter is reviewed.
5. Institution data and user content
As between IETA and the subscribing institution, the institution retains responsibility for and control of its operational records and uploaded content, subject to applicable law and individual rights. The institution permits IETA to host, transmit, back up and otherwise process that content only as necessary to provide, secure and support Campus.
Users must have permission to upload documents, images, messages and other content and must not infringe another person’s rights.
6. Availability, updates and third-party services
We work to keep Campus reliable, but maintenance, security work, internet failures, provider outages or events outside reasonable control may affect availability. Features may be improved, replaced or retired with appropriate notice where practicable.
Google, WhatsApp, Telegram, payment providers and other enabled services are governed by their own terms. IETA is not responsible for a third-party service outside our control.
7. Educational decisions and responsibility
Campus supports recordkeeping and communication; it does not replace professional educational, medical, safeguarding, financial or legal judgment. Institutions remain responsible for verifying important records and decisions. Any warranties, limitations of liability, payment terms, support commitments and termination rights in a signed institution agreement take priority over inconsistent website terms.
Questions about these terms
